Our very own Potomac Framework is featured in InfoQ.com’s new article on enterprise Flex framework’s. There are a ton of great frameworks for Flex development like Swiz and SpringAS that are featured as well. We think Potomac is still the best framework for enterprise development that includes a strong focus on modularity (as we think most enterprise Flex project’s should).

Here at the ElementRiver labs, we’ve been hard at work on SourceMate version 1.1. This new version is focused on user formatting and customization of the SourceMate generated code. Check out the new Code Style preferences:

We’re opening up the v1.1 beta today and any customer or potential customer is invited to try it out.
Installing v1.1 is as simple as installing v1.0. Follow the same instructions found here, but use the following v1.1 url for the update site:
There are a few additional features as well. Users of our Flex framework for enterprise applications, The Potomac Framework, will also benefit from the added SourceMate->Potomac integration added in 1.1. Also, stack traces inside the Flash Builder console view will now provide hyperlinks to the offending code locations.
As always please reports bugs or feature requests via Send Feedback/Bug feature inside SourceMate or use the forums.
Using one of the top Flex frameworks like Swiz or Spring Actionscript? The developer’s of those frameworks provide SourceMate metadata files so you can use the SourceMate metadata features like content assist and validation on their framework tags.

We’ve released a small update to SourceMate. This release fixes only a small handful of bugs found since the initial 1.0 release. You can update to this release simply by going to Help -> Software Updates. Eclipse/Flash Builder should find the new update and take you through the quick installation process.
You can also configure your instance of Eclipse/Flash Builder to automatically check for new updates. We plan to release future updates for SourceMate with other bug fixes and minor feature additions. So turn on the option to automatically notifiy you when they’re available by going to the Preferences -> Install/Update:
